Follow us through the emergency delivery of our 29 week, 2 pound son, Gray, onto a challenging 54 day NICU stay and beyond.

Great Organizations

Batson's Children's Hospital
Batson's Children Hospital is just one of the hospitals that are apart of the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMCC).  While Gray was not in this particular hospital while he was in the NICU, he did go to the Eli Manning Clinic in the Children's Hospital for check ups and testing after he had been discharged from the NICU.  This hospital provided us with a great pediatrician and they helped to give us peace of mind knowing that whatever obstacles we may encounter throughout Gray's growth and development they'd be there for us.

Ronald McDonald House Charities
The Ronald McDonald House "provides a “home-away-from-home” for families so they can stay close by their hospitalized child at little or no cost."

Shedrick and I stayed at the Ronald McDonald multiple times while Gray was in the NICU.  It was so nice to be able to be close to him and not worry about the finances of it.

March of Dimes
The Mission of March of Dimes is "to help moms have full-term pregnancies and research the problems that threaten the health of babies."

We still have no idea how or why I developed preeclampsia and then eclampsia but its wonderful to know that there are organizations out there researching and fighting to prevent such causes of premature birth.

If you're touched by our story and inspired to take action, please consider giving to any one of these organizations.
